Financial Planning for Nonprofits

The current financial landscape can be difficult for arts nonprofits to navigate. Join Lawyers for the Creative Arts and financial consultant Amy Kaufman of Studio Watershed for an hour-long seminar of financial planning for nonprofits.

The session will cover the basics of financial management, sustainability, different budget types, financial monitoring and reports, and board fiduciary responsibilities. Throughout the session, you’ll learn about best practices, as well as how to better understand financial statements, identify red flags, revise budgets mid-year, and define key terms to increase your financial literacy. The workshop will use case studies and activities, and there will be a question and answer session.

This program is ideal for both staff and board members of nonprofits.
