If you’ve been toying with the idea of a UX career, but still need to understand the basics, this free, 2-hour class is for you. We’ll cover the fundamentals of design thinking from understanding how UX Design helps businesses improve their bottom line, to defining each phase of the UX Double Diamond: Discover, Define, Design, and Deliver.

About the Instructor

Donovan Tan
Founder & Creative Director, LOUPE Asia

Donovan is the Founder and Creative Director of LOUPE Asia, an award-winning social design studio headquartered in Singapore.

Currently residing in Singapore, Donovan has had the opportunity to serve regional clients in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Vietnam and Japan. Clients include the Ministry of Education (Singapore), Capitol Theatre and Lions Home for the Elders. Donovan also facilitates C-suite meetings to chart strategies for companies to achieve positive impact through design. He is also adjunct faculty at the University of Portsmouth.

Donovan believes in change-making and creating social impact in Singapore's arts and design scene. He strives to build an ecosystem of art and design enthusiasts, developing talents to their fullest potential. Donovan has spoken at conferences, moderated panel discussions and been interviewed on national radio on the topics of value creation via social design. He has also given courses on creating impact with design in organisations such as S&P Global, BBC Studios (Asia) and the Singapore Police Force.

Donovan is also a lifelong advocate for education. Having been awarded the NTU Research Scholarship, Donovan is pursuing his research in the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) in Nanyang Technological University as a research scholar. His current research area is in social impact via communication design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Design Communications from Goldsmith College, London. He has also been awarded the Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship.
