The hits just keep coming! The premise of this series is to present really smart people and to allow them to talk about just about anything they choose. And for the longest time, I have been planning this one and finally the calendar Gods have smiled upon us and you are the beneficiary.
Michael Robertson is one of the most interesting people we’ve ever met. Among numerous successful ventures he’s launched, MP3.com may be the one you really want to know about. Yes, he was very early to the digital music party and he drew a lot of fire from many parts of the industry for doing so. He also pocketed quite a sum of money in doing so. Believe me, this is just the tip of the iceberg of the interesting things he’s done and what we will explore in this session.
Doc Searls is simply the smartest guy in any room he enters. He is is an American journalist, columnist, and a widely read blogger. He is a co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto, author of The Intention Economy: When Customers Take Charge, Editor-in-Chief of Linux Journal, a fellow at the Center for Information Technology & Society (CITS) at UCSB and an alumnus fellow of the Berkman Center for the Internet & Society at Harvard, and co-host of the Reality 2.0 Podcast.
In addition to being pioneers of the digital media industry, these two rockstars have a lot to say and I promise you will learn a lot participating in this session.
