You know how that old joke starts – “two old friends walk into a bar…” In this case, these two old friends also happen to be two of the coolest guys I know and both have built impressive careers in some of the highest profile areas off the music business. One is a true All-Star player from the live sector of the business. The other has his fingerprints on our ears and eyes as he is an icon of radio broadcasting and music supervision. Combined, they represent one of the best pairings of guests we have ever delivered. Pop some popcorn, sit back and be prepared to be entertained, enlightened and inspired!
John Boyle has a long and very successful career in several areas of the music industry. From booking shows during his undergrad days at UCLA, to helping launch the Warped Tour, working as an artist manager, record label executive, big jobs at Insomniac Events, Live Nation and now ASM Global, he has seen it all, done it all and has plenty of great wisdom and stories to share. And he won’t hold back on any of the details as he weaves the narrative of his totally unique career.
Jason Bentley also has a long and highly accomplished career in broadcast radio and music supervision. He is well known as the Music Director of LA’s legendary NPR station, KCRW. He also hosted the station’s most popular show- Morning Becomes Eclectic. As an award winning music supervisor, he has worked on several Hollywood blockbusters including The Matrix and Top Gun: Maverick. He is an expert interviewer and will lead what I promise will be one of the best episodes ever on this platform.
