Let’s get 2021 going! We’re probably all glad to say goodbye to 2020, but let’s take what we’ve learned in this previous year and apply all of the positives to our new one. Let’s start with this class with the ISA’s Director of Education and screenwriting coach, Max Timm. Understanding structure is something that all writers need to do – that should go without saying, but the good news is that once you get it, it becomes memorized, and then you can play with it however you like. “Formula” isn’t a bad word! We work within the confines of the page – whether a network sit-com or an independent feature length drama, all stories follow a rhythm. So let’s discuss how that rhythm “usually” feels so we can apply such a structure to our own work.
We will spend plenty of time on Q&A during this class, so please feel free to ask any questions at any time as Max intends to get to and through all of them.
