Understanding how to properly license music can literally pay dividends – and help you avoid losing out on revenue or finding yourself in the midst of a lawsuit. This month’s Mixer (May 26, 5-7 pm) will help you better understand how to navigate music licensing, whether you’re the licensor or licensee.
We’ll have a pre-recorded presentation from Joleen Hughes (Seattle Music Commissioner and head of Hughes Media Law Group), followed by a Q&A panel with musicians Ayron Jones and Andrew Joslyn, attorney Shirley Roberson (also with Hughes Media Law Group), and L.A.-based music supervisor and DJ Francesca Harding (Workshop Creative). After the group Q&A, we’ll break up into smaller groups for more discussion and connection.
