About the presenters:
Rusty Jones has created and grown some of the most successful beverage brands during his nearly 20 year career in marketing. Rusty is the Chief Strategic Officer and Co-founder of hellowater, a beverage company creating better-for-you products in water that works. Rusty attended college in St. Louis Missouri and received a Pre-Law degree. After college Rusty realized that his passion was not in law but that he had more of a creative side that kept trying to leap out from his conventional academic path. Rusty got his career start in marketing as an ambassador to a NIKE soccer campaign for the 2002 World Cup. Having experienced how culture can transform society through branding Rusty took a leap to try to replicate that experience for more brands. Rusty started his own experiential marketing agency that built and executed one on one consumer experiences for Fortune 500 brands. His passion for bringing brands to life has been proven successful and now he’s out to do it again with his own beverage brand, hellowater®.
Innovate Springfield’s Business Incubation Program Coordinator, Sarah Beth Ayers holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Art and a Mater’s in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield. Sarah has spent the past fifteen years supporting the brand and website development of small business starters and nonprofit organizations. She has worked with brands like Friar Tuck Beverage, 2nd Cinema Video, Mr. Gixby’s Soap for Humans, and She Got The Nerve Coaching and Consulting to name a few.
Rusty and Sarah will challenge viewers to create a brand that resonates with their customers and their guiding value proposition.
