(WEBINAR) Intro to User Research

Developing a deep understanding of users’ behavior, needs, and desires helps design teams solve well-defined problems. Without identifying these core problems and opportunities, launching a product or service is simply a stab in the dark. That’s where user research comes in.

In this free, two-hour livestream, we’ll cover when and why to do user research, look at different UX research types, and review common research methods and mistakes. Then, see how your new found user research skills apply to a real-world case study. All in real time, taught by an industry professional.

Come learn the basics and gain the skills you need to conduct meaningful user research!

What will the livestream learning experience be like?

  • Ask questions and build your online network by interacting with fellow classmates and an expert instructor —all in real time via live chatbox and Q&A.
  • Learn new skills in the comfort of your own home, or on the go! All participants will be automatically muted with no video.

  • Get an introduction to user research methods, including ethnographic methods and customer interviews.
  • Learn about Interviewing exercises to gather observations.
  • Discover sense-making activities to understand research findings from multiple angles.
  • Practice an exercise to isolate key pain points and frame design opportunities.
