Join Ingenuity’s 2023 Constellation teaching & learning cohort for a conversation on the intersection of identity, disability, and inclusion in arts education. These topics play a crucial role in creating arts environments where students can fully express themselves, where their unique experiences are honored, and where they can thrive! Residents will briefly discuss how they approach these affirmative models of teaching and learning and how they will be addressed in their upcoming learning institutes. Additionally, you will discover the genesis of the Constellation program and get to know this year’s Residents.
– Meet each of the Constellation Residents, learn about their topic areas, professional affiliations, expertise, and why they wanted to participate in the cohort, etc.
– Know how Ingenuity and Constellation Residents define Inclusion, Disability Culture, Identity and the significance of these topics in arts education.
– Understand the genesis of Constellation and how this year’s focus came about.
– Engage in a Q&A with Residents:
Asia Calcagno, Young Chicago Authors
Cleo Goldberg, Alexander Graham Bell School
Bradlee Lathon, Forward Momentum
Emily Leonard, Idea Box Integrated Arts
Robby Williams, ReinventAbility
