A group of unicorns is called a “blessing.” Myth has it that seeing a unicorn brings good luck and fortune to the observer. Jackie Adams and Bonita C. Stewart embrace this metaphor.
In their new book, A BLESSING: Women of Color Teaming Up to Lead, Empower and Thrive, Jackie and Bonita provide a mission driven, realistic analysis of Black female leadership. Interwoven in their work is original, proprietary research, Women of Color in Business: Cross Generational Survey, which examines the views of 4005 female “desk” or “knowledge workers” across four races (Black, LatinX, Asian, and Caucasian) and four generations (Gen Z, MIllenials, GenX, and Boomers).
During this session, Jackie and Bonita will talk about diversity and inclusion in the workplace from a generational perspective; will share personal anecdotes and reflective experiences based from their careers in the technology, marketing, and media sectors; and, will provide some tools, data, and inspiration for entrepreneurial and corporate women of color as well as their allies regardless of their race or gender
